Ah 2020, you have been a really rough year. I can’t say that I am going to be sorry to see you leave, and I don’t think anyone else will either! That being said, it’s time to look forward to 2021! I really wanted to take some time to think about my wishes for Disney in 2021. I could have a lot of wishes for Disney for 2021, but I’m going to keep this list to my top 5 wishes. Also, I do believe that most of my wishes for Disney in 2021 will actually come true! I am trying very hard to be optimistic about the coming year.

Let’s get going!

1. Disney is able to bring back cast members

In my opinion, one of the saddest things about Disney having to close down it’s parks this year was that so many cast members lost their jobs. Cast members are who make the magic, and we all care about them so much. They are not just cast members, they are people with lives, families, and bills that need to be paid.

While I understand why Disney had to make the very hard decision to furlough and lay off cast members, it was still very hard to watch. It was so public and affected so many people. The thing that I was really impressed with was that the Disney community really came together to try and help out these amazing people.

So my first with for Disney in 2021 is that they are able to rehire cast members!

2. Disney is able to re-open Disneyland

It is hard to imagine that Disneyland has been closed for so long! And it looks like it is not going to open until Spring at the earliest. I would actually guess it will be more likely to open in the summer. That means it will have been closed for more that a year.

Disneyland is so specially to so many people! It is the park that Walt built. He walked in that park, and anyone that has ever visited that park will tell you that there is something special. And I personally believe it is Walt’s spirit. You can feel it in the atmosphere and also the cast members. They know that it is special.

So my second wish for Disney in 2021 is that Disneyland is able to reopen.

3. More Live Entertainment Returns To Walt Disney World

I suppose that this wish goes along with my first wish.

In my opinion, live entertainment is so important to the Disney parks! It is what makes the parks feel alive. When you can hear the Indiana Jones explosions, talk to the citizens of Main Street, laugh with the Citizens of Hollywood, dance to the Jamminators at EPCOT, and dance with all the amazing musicians and entertainers at Animal Kingdom, it just makes the park more alive! Those entertainers are so important to making the experience special at the parks. I cannot wait to be able to see Finding Nemo again! I love that show so much!

And while I know they have begun to bring some of it back, I really can’t wait until it all comes back and fills the air with song and laughter in the parks!

So, my third wish for Disney in 2021 is to bring back the live entertainment!

4. Nighttime Spectaculars Return To Disney Parks

I think we can all agree on this one. The night time spectaculars at Disney parks are so important to the total experience of going to the parks. I love the firework, the music, the visuals, and the social act of all the guests getting together and experiencing something special. I think the parks are really missing that experience. It’s a time that we all can laugh, sing, and cry together (I’m not crying, you are!) It is a really important thing in my opinion.

So my fourth wish for Disney in 2021 is that the night spectaculars are able to return!

5. All The New Attractions Are Able To Open For The 50th Anniversary

My fifth wish is more pie in the sky. I really hope that Disney is able to open all of the new attractions that they have been working on for the 50th anniversary.

Make sure that you read that correctly. I want them to finish the attractions that they are already working on. I know there are a lot of things that were pushed to the side because of the shut down. I just really want to see them finish things. Attractions like Tron, Guardians, and Ratatouille (which is pretty much completed). I really would hat to see Disney go into it’s 50th anniversary with nothing new to offer. Especially at the Magic Kingdom. It is truly the park with a 50th anniversary, and I would love to see it shine like it should.

So my fifth wish for Disney in 2021 is for the new attractions to open for the 50th anniversary!

There are so many more

There are so many more things that I would love to see happen. I would love for restaurants and indoor dining return. I would love to see more resorts opening up. I would love to not have to wear a mask (although I am more than willing to).

One thing I would like to see stay (but I’m sure won’t) is the social distancing in queues. I didn’t realize how much I hated the bunching up that happens in lines until I experienced the lines with some distance between people. I really like that. I also would like to see a new fast pass system.

All that being said, what would you like to see in Disney for the coming year. Do you have any wishes that you want. Maybe they aren’t wishes as much as hopes. I would love to hear what you think. Leave a comment below and share your thoughts.

Thanks so much and I’ll talk to ya soon!
