We are talking about the 12 Disney resorts that are opening on June 22. These are the resorts that are opening BEFORE the parks open. They are all DVC resorts, except for Fort Wilderness. We talk about why these resorts, and what we think it means for the future opening of resorts. We also talk about the NBA and MLS staying at Disney World for their seasons. It's a fun conversation!
The rumor is that MLS is going to be staying in the Swan and Dolphin resorts. Those are BIG hotels, and I think it is a great choice. It can be self-contained, and they are actually not Disney resorts that are opening on June 22. So they can get people in those resorts, and get them up and running again. It is a win-win in my opinion
The NBA was rumored to be staying at Coronado Springs at the Gran Destino Tower. Then I heard that they were staying at three different resorts. And now I have heard that each team going to choose a resort to stay in order of their rankings. Who knows what is going to happen, but we do know the NBA is going to be at Disney World for the remainder of their season and playoffs. Needless to say, it is going to be very interesting. And I'm pretty sure that they are not staying at Disney resorts that are opening on June 22.
